Jenna Falk is excited to begin working with Comox Valley Midwifery and the women and families of the area as they journey through pregnancy, birth and caring for their new babies. Jenna grew up in Black Creek, BC and is happy to be returning home to practice midwifery. Jenna’s original midwifery training was spent in the Philippines at a charity birthing centre which is connected with an accredited USA program. She became registered as a midwife in the States in 2011 and later went on to complete the International Midwifery Pre-Registration Program through Ryerson University in Toronto. Her midwifery experience includes working with pregnant women from many walks of life, from tribal villages in Sierra Leone, West Africa, to inner-city families in Davao, Philippines, and most recently in the town of Orangeville, Ontario. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her time in Orangeville with her colleagues and clients, she is thrilled to be transitioning back to the Island. Jenna values knowing her clients well, providing evidence based information to allow them to make decisions about their care, and assisting them to have safe and fulfilling birth experiences. When not catching babies, Jenna enjoys spending time with her friends & family, camping, hiking, horseback-riding and walking at the beach.
